The task
How much THC and CBD does a batch of cannabis flowers or an extract contain? Until now, answering this question usually means sending samples to an external laboratory and waiting several days for the result.
With SweebIR and FIDES*Canna you determine the content yourself – by FTIR-ATR spectroscopy, fully automatically and without elaborate sample preparation. Place the sample, measure, read the content.
For flowers and extracts
FIDES*Canna was developed for the two most important dosage forms: dried cannabis flowers and MCT-based cannabis extracts. For both, we have built dedicated calibration models based on extensive reference analytics. [Add sample preparation for flowers, e.g. grinding/homogenising.] The result is reported as [total THC and total CBD / THC, THCA, CBD, CBDA] in percent.
Pharmacopoeia standard, traceable documentation
The evaluation is based on a chemometric model that we developed and validated according to Ph. Eur. 5.21 (Chemometric methods applied to analytical data). This allows medical cannabis to be tested to the high requirements of the pharmacopoeia. Measuring range: [x–y %]. Accuracy: [± x % absolute / relative]. Validation data are available on request.
